Armarda a collaboration with Elena Cassidy-Smith Our event for the Liverpool Independents Biennial 2008 will be an interventionist piece of work that comments on the legacy of Liverpool's status as a port city, and this work will take place at at the Albert Docks . We will invite passers by to make folded paper ships from pages of the financial times, that collectively will form a mini armada on the keyside. The use of paper, a fragile, transient material reflects the sustainability of UKs port industries, such as ship building and the shift in port city revenues from tourism and private investment. www.independentsbiennial.org

Man Made 2006- onwards Work in Prprogress. In collaboration with Farhad Ahrarnia.
ManMade is a body of work comprising of a number of mixed media installations. The various elements within this work aim to expand upon the current perceptions of Middle Eastern, specifically Iranian men’s representations. This timely exploration will create the much needed dialogue on a topic which is currently highly underrepresented. The format of the installation is such that the viewers are able to step into a kaleidoscopic space where various ideas, images, sounds and smells intermingle and offer alternative narratives and journeys into the extraordinary aspects of the ‘everyday’. This work concentrates on the beautiful, the quiet, the mundane, and the unseen aspects of Iranian men.
